Vows on the terrace with the Duomo on the horizon, prosecco in the gardens, a long candlelit dinner and dancing until Florence lights up below us. Save room for the gelato cart.
Shuttles to and from events will be provided. Pickup points and times are still to be confirmed, so please check back as we get closer to the date. We’ll also send everyone a message once the details are set.

Where It All Happens
V I L L A I L G A R O F A L O
Set in the Camerata hills on the road toward Fiesole, about 15 minutes from the center of Florence, Villa il Garofalo is linked by local legend to Dante's family and his muse, Beatrice Portinari. Its gardens and terraces look straightout over the rooftops to the Duomo.
C O S I M O R O O F T O P B A R
On the rooftop of The Excelsior, a former palazzo on Piazza Ognissanti just steps from the Arno, Cosimo looks out over the whole city: the Duomo, the terracotta rooftops and the hills beyond. It’s where we’ll gather for cocktails and a Florentine sunset.
S A L V A D O N I C A
Tucked into the Chianti hills of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, Salvadonica is a restored 14thcentury village wrapped in vineyards and olive groves. Its ancient cellars are where we'll be raising a glass on Friday.
Shuttles Are On Us
We’re still finalizing the details, so check back soon for pickup points and times. In the meantime, no need to plan your own way to the villas. We’ve got you covered.

Getting To Florence

The closest: about 20 minutes to the center by T2 tram or taxi. Most US flights connect through a European hub.
T R A I N S
Every route arrives at Firenze Santa Maria Novella (SMN), a short taxi ride from most hotels. Book with Trenitalia or Italo.
Florence is compact, beautiful and best explored on foot, so you won't need a car once you arrive. Here's the easiest way in.

About an hour to Florence via the Pisa Mover shuttle and a regional train. Often has more European connections.
T A X I S
A fixed fare runs from Florence airport to the center. Ride-share is limited in Italy, so use the official taxi rank or the Taxi app.

Take the Leonardo Express to Roma Termini, then a high-speed train to Florence in about 1.5 hours. Perfect if you're adding a few days in Rome.
P R I V A T E D R I V E R
The easiest choice for families or anyone arriving from Rome or Pisa with lots of luggage. Ask us for drivers we trust.

Just under 40 minutes to Florence by high-speed train. Worth a look when comparing flights.
D R I V I N G
Lovely for exploring the countryside after the wedding, but the center is a camera-enforced ZTL zone. Leave the car outside the city or arrange parking through your hotel.
Florence is easy to explore on foot, so anywhere in the historic center or the Oltrarno will keep you close to everything this weekend has in store.
We’re working on a couple of promo codes for you to use on your accommodations. Please check back by the end of the year for our updated list of recommended hotels.
Renting an apartment? The historic center and the Oltrarno are both lovely bases and an easy walk to everything.
